In the spring of 2020, I assembled a team of students to run with me as we ran for the Ithaca College Student Governance Council Executive Board.
Our ticket was named ICPOWER, bringing progress, opportunities, willingness, equity, and reclamation to the students of Ithaca College. We campaigned for approximately two weeks. In these two weeks, we established an Instagram following of 300+ users, received endorsements from students and on-campus organizations, hosted takeovers and Q&A sessions, and did it all without spending a penny. The campaign came to an end, and we were announced as the new Executive Board for Ithaca College’s Student Governance Council. Since the election, we have spent our time collaborating with our senators and preparing for the fall semester.
